Aloe (Kumara) plicatilis

Magnificent and highly coveted Aloe from South Africa now part of the Kumara genus, Aloe plicatilis has bluish leaves arranged in fans.

It grows slowly and fears excessive watering.

It will be watered mainly in spring and fall. Watering will be slowed down in winter and summer and completely stopped during heatwaves or periods of winter that are too cold.

It will need to be installed in a particularly mineral substrate. He appreciates when the weather allows him to spend as much time as possible outside. On part of the Mediterranean coast it can even stay there all year round and be planted in the ground.
